Make It Count
When you walk through the door after a long day and someone you love needs your attention,
put down your phone, leave the chores for later, and really listen.
And make it count.
When the cashier, waitress, coworker, or stranger in line looks weary, choose kindness instead
of hurry. Smile. Ask their name. See the person others rush past.
And make it count.
When someone asks about your faith, your church, or why you still believe in a world that feels
so broken, don’t shrug it off or rush the conversation. Share your story. Tell them your why. Offer
them hope.
And make it count.
When a friendship feels distant or a relationship has grown quiet, don’t assume there will always
be more time. Reach out. Send the text. Make the call. Say the thing that matters.
And make it count.
When God places someone on your heart, don’t brush it aside. Reach out. Encourage them.
Pray for them. Be the person who stops long enough to notice, care, and show up.
And make it count.
When you’re tempted to spend another evening numbing out, scrolling, watching other people
renovate homes, transform their health, build their dreams, and live fully while your own life
quietly slips into autopilot, ask yourself what kind of life you want to remember living.
And make it count.
When God places a dream on your heart, stop assuming you’re too old, too late, too busy, or
too ordinary. Start the book. Launch the business. Take the class. Say yes to the thing that won’t
leave you alone.
And make it count.
Because one day, we will wonder less about what we accumulated and far more about who we
loved, who we encouraged, who we helped, and whether we were fully present for the life we
were given.
No one reaches the end wishing they had spent more time distracted, more time afraid, or more
time waiting.
Love deeply.
Show up fully.
Live intentionally.
And make it count.
